(End ex Iron Chariot 1987)
I joined 1 (LA) Sqn RAF Regiment in mid 1985 from 15 (LA) Sqn RAF Regiment (in
the UK) and found the Sqn was certainly a very busy place to be, I'm not sure
how many times a year we were away, but we never seemed to stay at Laarbruch
very often, either we were on exercise with the Harrier Force or with the Army or
just a Sqn Exercise somewhere. (Soltau, Sennelager, Bergen Honer, Holtern etc etc)
If we were not on exercise then it was running every day, on the ranges or
preparing the CVRT
( Scorpion, Spartans etc) for future deployments.
