RAF Regiment Reunion Febuary (Catterick) 2004

1 Sqn & 26 Sqn Sqn RAF Regiment Reunion took place on 1st and 2nd May 2009, for most, it had been 21 years or more since they had ventured into RAF Laarbruch (now Weeze Airport),

The idea for the reunion had started with a few comments whilst at JC's top table in October 2008, with Ian Jones, Monique JC, Simmo and myself).

I then thought about putting the idea out on the Web to get interest and with the help of Garry Millar, Kevin Betts (Kevins Pub in Weeze) Fred Stoddon   also Ian Jones for obtaining the 1 Sqn plaque (we presented to the Mayor of Weeze), it all cme together.

Over 75 ex and serving members of the RAF Regiment attended, with a short remembrance and the laying of flowers at the location the IRA had killed Miller Reid and John Baxter

We all then in the the spirit of the Regiment carried on drinking and telling stories for the next 2 days, with very little sleep.

The rest is History...thank you to all who attended and to all those that helped to make this a great reunion.
