RAF Regiment Northern Ireland
In 1969 The RAF Regt was given the responsibility of RAF
Aldergrove, Ballykelly and Bishops Court.
2 Sqn and 15 Sqn RAF Regt also reinforced the Army in Belfast,
26 LAA Sqn RAF Regt was also attached to 22 LAD Regiment Royal
Artillery in Londonderry for 4 months
33 Wing was also deployed to replace the Royal Marines in Omagh,
Enniskillen, Dungannon and Armagh with 16, 37 and 48 Sqns.

3 Sqn RAF Regiment Re-Formed
3 Sqn RAF Regt was disbanded in 1957 but was Re-formed in 1988
at RAF Aldergrove to be the Resident Sqn in NI, prior to this
all UK Resident Sqns would complete tours in NI
